Roanoke: "The Lost Colony" 1587-1590
The Standwood Station Chronicles takes a side trip for two weeks:

four centuries back in time--

and 662 miles northeast--

to the original location of the first British colony in the New World:

Roanoke Island, Virginia-

founded in 1587 by one hundred hardy individuals,

birthplace of the first English infant born on New World soil (Virginia Dare)

vanished between 1587 and1590, leaving behind one single trace:

the carved word "Croatan."

What happened? Where did they all go? WHY?

This is what we aim to explore and to uncover, in the new Campfire Creative:

Roanoke: "The Lost Colony" 1587-1590.

Alternative historical explorations of the first English colony in the New World

Still spots beside the fire available!
