A modest journal. |
Saturday, February 23, 2008 Today is Saturday. I wakeup almost every day at a little after 7am. Then I feed my cats and get ready for work --- Monday through Friday. Of course on the weekends, I don't normally have to work --- unless we're preparing for trial. I'm a legal assistant at a local law office in St. Petersburg, Florida. I work for an exceptionally bright trial lawyer who is about ten years older than me. He's a great guy. I've worked for him going on my twelfth year. On Saturdays I normally go to the gym --- anytime after 10am and before 11:30am. I normally take a Yoga class at 11:30am on Saturdays. The rest of the day is my own. I'm looking forward to a relaxing day. Hope everyone else has a good one too. 1:21 p.m. It's pouring today in "sunny" St. Petersburg. Before I left this house at around 11:30am, there were a lot of sirens going off. God help us! As I drove to the gym, the sky was overcast and gloomy, and I passed a few minor accidents. Just now, getting close to home, the streets were flooded. I live in the Old Northeast part of St. Petersburg, along the bay. Whenever we get a good rain, the streets flood ---- though usually remain passable like today. I'm glad to be inside and out of that mess. |
