when things are going well
I just don't write as often. You can set your watch to it.

I turned raisin-black in the Bahamas. My tan lines are as stark as Sharpie on a manila folder, just about. I'm probably Rasool's complexion now; I can't even look in the mirror without briefly failing to recognize myself. But only one person noticed. Which kind of irritates me.

Anyway, though, the Bahamas were really nice. Nothing is relaxing with anxious parents involved, but it came close. My brother and I spent two nights at the casino, at the blackjack table, and took away something like three hundred dollars between us, most of it mine. On fifteen-dollar bets. Everyone kept getting annoyed with me because I didn't want to hear their little tricks about projecting tens and staying on sixes, and then even more annoyed because I stuck to instinct and still did better than they did.

I have to post journal contest scores. I know, I know.
