A modest journal. |
Sunday, August 24, 2008 Yesterday, we spent our morning at the skating rink, once again. Tyler learned how to jump One Hundred Eighty Degrees while skating. He did it quite well -- though not always without falling. He inspired me to race him more than once -- and I've never really been one for racing. The boy is fearless. Cody is doing much better too. He's gotten the courage to lift his feet and can make it around the rink twice by himself -- very slowly, without falling. Their dad came by to watch them for awhile when he was out running errands. Cody would much rather sit beside his dad than skate. So, sending him out to do a lap was almost like punishment. There will be no skating next week -- Labor Day break. I mentioned riding bikes next Saturday, and Tyler promptly told me he didn't want to do anything on wheels. There was no opposition from Cody who is a most excellent bicyclist. He's as daring and fearless on a bicycle as Tyler is on skates. I went to yoga class at noon and then came home to clean my house today. I hadn't cleaned since mid-July -- so there was a lot of dust and debris on the floor and furniture. All is clean, and I can also say: It is well with my soul. May God bless you this day and keep you safe and encouraged through the upcoming week! Until we meet again... I bid thee farewell! |
