September, the beginning of Fall. The month brings the celebration of many birthdays in our family. It's a time when we look forward to cooler weather, the changing of nature's colors, football season.
I've had a peaceful, restful weekend despite the eye of hurricane Gustav.
May God continue to protect our shores, our people, our Country, and may we continue to be a blessing, a place of freedom, grace and abundance, strengthening the chords of peace as we embrace our neighbors -- every tribe and nation -- around this vast and complex world.
