A modest journal. |
Tuesday, October 21, 2008 Wow! I could have gone to yoga tonight... or had a V-8! Yeah, right. I stopped by my daughter's after work, and we had a small talk about politics -- my daughter, her husband and I. Then I told them I had voted. (After that, I should have kept quiet... but not me.) I told them my choice for President. Shocker. They were rude after that. I don't understand why and/or how someone can actually dislike another for not voting and/or thinking like them. Weird -- mean, even. I never vote without prayer and careful consideration. This year, I got an Absentee ballot and have been on the fence for some time, I finally made a decision and voted. Have a pleasant evening and make sure you vote right... for whoever you think will be best for your Country. Every citizen of the U.S.A. is priviledged to live in a democracy --- free to speak and cast our votes in whatever direction we choose. Thankfully we're not ruled and governed by a dictator -- and I choose to live in a free society (and family) -- not one where you suffer verbal abuse, ridicule and scorn for having differing opinions. God bless you! Enjoy your God-given liberties without forcing yourself and your opinions on others and live in peace! |
