A modest journal. |
Monday, November 10, 2008 I had a pleasant day at the office -- except for an e-mail I received from a friend, asking me to please stop sending her so many e-mails. Because of her duties as a mother and as an elected official (mayor of St. Pete Beach), she feels her e-mails need to decrease. I told her I would take her off my "friends" list; however, I was hurt. Apparently, she doesn't have time for friendship. I don't read all of the e-mail I receive, but neither do I ignore my friends or ask them to quit sending me so many e-mails. (I counted my "friends" outside the office on my "friends list" ---- seven and now only six.) Most of the cute, funny, encouraging and inspirational e-mails I receive and send are to both my family and friends outside the office. Some I also send to the support staff. Certainly, I don't send nearly what I receive but only send what I read and what I consider the best. I lost a friend today. My boss is out all day tomorrow, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. What a drag. Maybe I'll take some vacation. Have a wonderful week! Until we meet again, take care and fare well. |
