Hope everyone had a wonderful Friday---especially if you had to work.  It just always seems more relaxing on Friday---even when it's hectic---it's like a wind-down day since we know the weekend is finally upon us.  Of course, if you work shift work and/or don't work in a 9-to-5 setting, it might be different.  My boss has been out-of-town for the last two days, so it's been slower than usual.

Yesterday was my oldest sister's birthday.  She was born in 1956.  My parents were married in September of 1955; so they were married fifty-three years this year.  Wow!  I remember we had a big party for them when they'd been married twenty-five years and that really doesn't seem too long ago.  I was telling the girl I work with---she's twenty-three or twenty-four---it seems like only yesterday when most people I communicated with on the job were either my age or older than me, and now everyone is much younger.  Truly weird.

Age does make you wiser and more comfortable with who you are... or at least it's done that for me; however, I find I'm more scatter-brained---maybe that's just me too.  I do more "stupid" things, like put a brush in the refrigerator, lose track of a file, forget to set the alarm clock or wakeup thinking it's Saturday---or worse that its a weekday when its still the weekend.  I went out for a walk the other night and left several candles burning.  At two blocks away I remembered and had to go back home and blow them out.  I sometimes lock myself out (much more than when I was younger) or forget my keys when cashing out at a store.

Plan to have a lovely weekend and keep warm---or cool---depending on where you live!!  =)

A generous give from Garden Girl and created by Shi...
