         Today while on a walk, I came across a lady with a dog --- it looked sort of like a pug-mix.  Wondering, I asked what kind of dog do you have and she curtly said, a "cute" one and looked away.  I'm not sure if she was ashamed to have a mixed breed or angry that I even asked... For a minute, I felt like I'd been slapped in the face.

         Walking a little further along, I saw a lady fall to the ground as she was taking a crosswalk with her friends in the lead.  I quickly turned and asked if she was alright.  That's when her friends noticed she had fallen.  She quickly said she has a "bum" ankle that gives out on her sometimes.  I gave her a soft pat on the back and walked on. 

         Let's try to be kinder to one another.  We're living among other "fragile" human beings who would benefit from our care, compassion, and/or just a kind word.
