Second Helpings

LO from LA

Another train, another plane, another stage of our adventure begins. We’re now in Los Angeles in a very beautiful hotel and enjoying the company of Lance and Sheila. I could never have imagined when we met them in London last year that only a few months later we’d be seeing them again on their own territory.

I really liked St Louis and wished we could have spent more time there. We packed a lot into our couple of days and enjoyed it all, but there is still so much more to see and do. May one of my Lottery tickets left at home be a jackpot winner. I’d really like to think I could return to that part of the world again, but one day at a time and all that.

I’m pleased I met my Dad’s one remaining sister, who does amazingly well for her 84 years. Her daughter (my cousin, despite being skinny) and family cooked us a meal and helped us find our way round their massive abode. It was good to meet them all but I think the cousins I plan on meeting in Ojai will be more my cup of tea. Watch this space.

Hoping there’ll be some blogging time in LA, but I am seriously sun and shopping deprived, so it may not be too frequently. Thanks to all who are faithfully following our journey and leaving kind thoughts. My thoughts are with you too, even if I can’t get to return the blog visits.

So, today we visit Hollywood, but I don’t think I’ll be offered any million dollar contracts, unless there’s a horror movie in the making.
