In Other News...

Progress downloading photos is slow and hubby keeps hogging the main computer to edit his video clips. As I don’t want to become a travelogue bore, I’ll interrupt my May adventures to include live, up to date reports on life as it is now. As Kåre Enga in Montana rightfully noted, the story will unfold very slowly and much as I realise it’s history now, I’d still like a record of my trip in my blog.

So, what exciting things have developed since we arrived home.? Thinking…erm…more thinking…hmmmmm…thinking harder…oh, I give up. A month of incredible experiences makes the mundane seem even more mundane than ever. Looks like a list of the mundane for today then.

The weather - England has varied from very cold to very warm, with thunderstorms and torrential downpours thrown in for good measure. Another typical British summer on the horizon it seems.

The house – Is still standing, although suitcases, bags and extra manpiles are making it an obstacle track to get around, tidy up or clean. That’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it. We did return to a broken monitor, video handset and oven fan which have all had to be replaced. How do things manage to go wrong even when we aren’t here?

WDC - It seems Blogville has suffered a near death experience. So many familiar names no longer blogging or making very intermittent entries, but that’s life I guess. Interests and people are ever-changing, but as I’ve recently renewed my membership I’ll be sticking around. Besides, there’s still friends and worthy blogs around and who knows? I may even get round to some reviewing, port cleaning or even writing , but I won’t hold my breath.

Family – Dad is still upright and sitting around waiting to be ninety. My sister is now officially retired from work and hopefully I’ll see more of her. Paul and Mey Ling seem well, but Nok is no more. Not sure what happened on that front, but hoping a replacement will soon be found and will stick around longer. The kids are as sweet as ever and Dylan is now crawling and into all things quackers.

The price of carrots is still fluctuating no doubt, but without further investigation I cannot be sure and would hate to add to my errant experiences involving vegetables.
