         I'm not sure what is going on, but I'm in the fight of my life... My energy is waning.  I've had a lot happen within the last few years and am hoping to come back out of this on top. 

         In 2008, I turned 50 --- my year of jubilee.  Since then, I've had a lot of negatives.  I guess I always expected life to be easy and fun --- mine has been vigorous, daunting and at times debilitating.  I know it's all perspective.  Somehow, I expected more... I am sure there is a lesson in this that's just beyond my reach.  I've learned that life on this earth is not a fairytale.  We don't all live happily ever after.

         I've done a lot of things wrong --- made bad choices.  Consequently, I'm in the valley of despond. 

         Since being out of work, I've been doing more reading.  I'm thinking it might be a great idea to re-read The Pilgrim's Progress by John Bunyan to regain some vital perspective.

         May God help us continue moving forward.  Life is too short to dwell on the negative.
