Two Lives

Friederich sat back in his shuttle seat. Rebbecca smiled broadly.
Sylvia and Sarah told the tribe that Rebbecca was pregnant. Friederich
knew he was sterile. It must have been the nano-bites. He smiled back
at Rebbecca, "This is my first child." Rebbecca embraced Friederich.
"I am the mother of a God." she exclaimed. "That is a big word. Let me
get another scan." Friederich ran the hand medical scanner once again
over Rebbecca. It read positive. He took a deep breath, "I need to speak
with Rachael." He put Rebbecca into a trance with his telekinesis.

"She is pregnant with your child." Rachael confirmed by telepathy.
"I see she can self-replicate. It must be an adaption to the radioactivity."
Rachael continued, "The frequency is becoming stronger with every solar
rotation. I can feel my blood circulating again. You must establish a landing
point." Friederich agreed. "But, if Rebbecca is androgynous. The child will
most assuredly be female. She does have two x chromosomes." Rachael
spoke with computing resonance. "Ethron has offered land near the edge of
Egypt for my tribe. It will be an excellent landing field." Friederich answered
      with telepathically.

Rachael was skeptical of Ethron's generosity. She suspected a trap.
There might be a remnant of a modern military nearby. They could not sustain
another war. Their radioactivity was already more than half a lethal level.
Ethron entered the shuttle with Sarah and Sylvia. He embraced Freiderich.
"Soon you will have your own tribe." he smiled and looked at Sarah and Sylvia.
"I am concerned about resistance in Egypt. Can you tell me of the people
there?" Friederich put his right on Ethron's right shoulder. Ethron laughed,
"We do not have any resistance. We are all the last tribe of Judah. God is
on our side!" Friederich scratched his head, "I will go in my chariot and see
people on the River Tiber." Ethron smiled and shrugged, "And they will see you."
"We will come with you. You are our seed." Sylvia said and strapped into a
seat. The other two sisters did so as well.

Ethron waved and stepped down the ramp outside. "Never surrender!"
he shouted over the shuttles thrusters.
