Blue Cloud Road

blue cloud road
the walk to
a yellow mailbox
walk down the pavement
see the trees
wait for the leaves
too few branches
in the winter
walk around the corner
see the sights
lost in the white
talking under the mulherry tree
and picking mulberries
sour and black or red
not much except the green stems
talking on a hill
the dirt and roots
under the branches in the spring
