9.3.11 Power and Character

Quote of the Day: Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man's character, give him power. -Abraham Lincoln

I found this quote to be extremely interesting and true. But this quote doesn't cover what power can do to a persons character.  Many people of supposedly good character receive power and then their character diminishes.  Perhaps their character wasn't that strong to begin with. Or, perhaps power is just that manipulative, it can alter the most moral of all. I don't know, but it is an interesting thought.
