Toasts
I’m spending today over in my favourite town of Newark with my J Team, Jane, June and Joy.
It’s my Dad’s birthday today. He would have been 92. We’ll raise our glasses to him and hope he’s now celebrating in a better place.
Strangely enough it’s the birthday of my friend June’s Dad too. He would have also been 92. We’ll raise our glasses to him and hope he’s in a better place celebrating with my Dad.
It’s also the anniversary of the passing of Jane’s brother John who died several years ago at the age of 40. We’ll raise our glasses to him...
Jane has just had an operation on her eye so we’ll probably raise a few glasses to wish her a speedy recovery.
Then we’ll probably raise a glass to Joy’s Mum who would have been 90 last week.
Then we’ll probably forget why we’re raising our glasses, but I’m sure we’ll manage to find some reasons to continue.
