"30-Day Blogging Challenge ON HIATUS Prompt for January 24th, 2013: Two days ago (Jan. 22nd) was the 40th anniversary of the Roe v. Wade case overturning a Texas interpretation of abortion law and making abortion legal in the United States. What are your thoughts on abortion? (Take a look at the links for information on the case:
OK, I'm now having flashbacks of my second semester Constitutional Law class. *Worry* For the purpose of this prompt, I'm just going to discuss my opinion on the matter notwithstanding the underlying law.

I am pro-choice. I think women should have the right to decide whether or not to have an abortion. While I would not choose to do so unless there were serious health concerns, I wouldn't try to interfere with anyone else's right to do so. There are so many factors that I am not going to discuss, such as fathers' rights, religion, health concerns, term of the pregnancy...the list goes on. I could argue from a legal standpoint, but I had to do that in my Con Law class and am trying to repress memories of that class. *Laugh*

My ultimate answer is I think women should have the right to decide. I once saw a bumper sticker that perfectly set forth my opinion on this matter: "Against abortions? Don't have one."

"Blogging Circle of Friends Prompt Forum January 24, 2013: List your top five strengths.
1. Determination. My determination has allowed me to prevail in many situations in which a lot of people would have given up.

2. Empathy. Although it sometimes seems to be a curse, I am glad I have this strength as it allows me to become closer to people and help them during difficult times.

3. Memory. I have a good memory which has proven very beneficial in my job and school life.

4. Ability to forgive. While this, too, sometimes seems more like a curse than a blessing, I am glad that I have the ability to forgive my friends and loved ones and not hold grudges when they hurt me.

5. Grammar/spelling skills. I just wanted to throw something about my writing in here. I have good editing skills and am often quick to find spelling and grammatical errors in writing. I love reviewing items for such errors. *Bigsmile*
