behind eyelids
under sheets

on the highways
without pants

I am a thing of beauty
the warmest glow
absolutely

I am plain as mud
frowned and furrowed
cold blood

I am stupid
too stupid
to know this

I am a genius
with lists of brilliant
excuses

I am red and blue
I am bird and fish
I am me and you
I am one of two
