Chain Of Fire

Food for thought

Food Chain

Chain reaction

Chain gang

Gang up

Gang bang

Bang up

Bang to rights

Right as rain

Right under one’s nose

Nose out of joint

Nose to the grind

Grind to a halt

Grind down

Down in the mouth

Down and out

Out of order

Out of sight, out of mind

Mind your own business

Mind the store

Store up

Store away

Away with the fairies

Away game

Game face

Game on

On the hook

On the fly

Fly on the wall

Fly in the face

Face down

Face off

Off Chance

Off Balance

Balance the books

Balance out

Out of work

Out of touch

Touch and go

Touch up

Up for grabs

Up and down

Down in the dumps

Down for the count

Count one’s blessings

Count on

On ice

On fire

Fire

Ice

The Blitz Poem is a stream of short phrases and images with repetition and rapid flow. Begin with one short phrase, it can be a cliché. Begin the next line with another phrase that begins with the same first word as line one. The first 48 lines should be short, but at least two words.

The third and fourth lines are phrases that start with the last word of the second phrase, the fifth and sixths lines are phrases that start with the last word of the fourth phrase, etc. Continue for 48 lines with this pattern. Last two lines repeat the last word of line 47, then the last word of line 47.

The title must only be three words, with some sort of preposition, or conjunction joining the first word from the third line to the first word from the 47th line.
