The arts are taking over.
Lights hit spots I see that others don't.
The internet. Porn. Smoking and drinking.
Evils I once preached against
have become mainstream and lurking.
My feverish mind has taken notice
and selectively embraced parts of their wisdoms.
No one sees the depth in structures or landscapes anymore
unless it makes money.
Appreciate the coaches for their intellect.
Do what makes you happy...
don't do it just to do it.

A dying town with a trying scene;
"We'll do what we can just to prove we can."
It's a part of the fever we fight
when winters force us to prove our might.
We're always searching for ways
to silence our critics and right our wrongs,
but in the end it never seems to come out right.
We try as hard as we can,
but it always sounds so convoluted.
It seems so contrived,
as though the forces of failure cursed us
to focus on our "just doing it" nature
to submarine our ambitions
into showing the world how sorry we are.

We the people see it.
We don't subscribe;
the most talented know who we are,
without having to prove ourselves anymore.
We are the power. We are the people.
This is the beginning
of the arts taking over.

We're not in-between
the silences or dreams.
Superstandard.
Hovering over...
the commentators
of everything we see.
