The United States has been divided into two camps:
one swears holy by the government
while the other rails in dissent.
Those going with the grain
are promised a better life,
no matter what the situation
and with no guarantee after all is said and done.
The opposers will be relegated
to horrible lives
of failing, and failing miserably.
Towns, cities, counties, states;
all are segregated
based on political preference.
The Republicans are the "haves"
based on the GOP agenda,
while the Democrats are the "have nots"
based on what their beliefs are.
Schools are changed, hospitals discriminate,
buses cater to either one or the other side,
and Civil War II begins to brew.
When the "haves" realize what they bought into,
and the "have nots" begin to realize their strengths,
the revolution will surely be televised
and taxed for its consumption.

The "haves" have it figured out
by buying into a flailing, failing concept.
The "have nots" know this
but are repressed by their conviction.
Nonconformists make a stand,
saying "no one knows better than them
but us",
but have no solid plan.
Those who chose not to care
were executed by the very same nonconformists.
They claimed
"it made our position easier to swallow".

Around mid-2005, some "haves" decided
that they were being lied to
and current policies weren't working,
but they couldn't leave the shed of values
their minister/president was presiding over.
Too many soldiers overseas died
and not enough poor folk had health insurance.
Morale was wavering.
At the same time,
the "have nots" were silent,
steadily building a solid foundation
on which they would stand
and destroy the simpleton "haves",
restoring peace and faith
in the good, true,
and honest,
hardworking men and women of society.
They wouldn't let big business
overcome and rule the world.
By 2008, the United States,
while not the "leaders of the free world" anymore,
was just a decent, happy place to be.
