Beaten By A Path
The strange paths we take,
lack of promise
that tomorrow
will bring good news.

A red dress
worn once
torn to shreds
covering a beautiful body.

Companion alongside,
to keep entertained,
not knowing
their future ahead.

Tragic ending,
the most despised,
as death knocks on the door,
at the most inconvenient time.
