Day 30: Installing surveillance equipment
In order to make a better study of the cultures of the intelligent species, which I had begun to think of as the people even though they were very different from my people, I started to fashion receivers to look like ordinary items. Over my fifty year voyage, I had picked up some building and artistic skills. I was able to build transmitters into items that looked like twigs on trees, rocks, even parts of buildings that people had built. I crept in, under cover of darkness, to plant these. I found this was easier without my armor. I could move much more deftly. I wold put the armor into self-defense robotic mode and hide it in a nearby cave. I would then go to a nearby castle or village and install the transmitter. I was almost caught a couple of times, but I managed to slip away before anyone could get a good look.
