My now and again blog of ideas, notifications, and superfluous randomness.

ABSTRACT
Lying in my desert cabin, aboding in this place at this time, observing the abstract on the wall.  A three by three square of surrealism, at least to my twisted eye, if I squint. I get different impressions of the artist's goal.  The goal is obviously to impress me with multitudinous art forms.  My artistic mind's eye can make out feather and frond, fluttering over sand.  Ocotillo rising over butte and mesa.  I stretch and feel the sensuous rub of the wool blanket against my damp skin.  I blink and rays of pink, orange and gold reflect around the frame of my abstraction.  The artist brings me to my feet and draws me to the painting.  Opening the window, embracing my impressions, I smell dew on the creosote.
