at work when the hammer drops
when my family disowns their dark horse
20 degrees outside with no ride

still I
         use sarcasm as a weapon
         wear crudeness like cologne
         annoyingly mix metaphors
         wander aloof basking in feigned beauty

the end result
         you needn't be present
         when my source of laughter ends
