30dbc: protest v. demonstration
Fun Fact Friday!

On this day in 1958, US Vice President Richard Nixon's limousine was battered by rocks thrown by anti-US demonstrators in Caracas, Venezuela. Have you ever protested something before, big or small? Loud, or silently?

Mother Theresa once said “I was once asked why I don't participate in anti-war demonstrations. I said that I will never do that, but as soon as you have a pro-peace rally, I'll be there.”

That is my view. I rarely protest because it is negative energy. And you might get arrested. I will stand for many ideals if they are proven to me. I remember standing with a bunch of other Christians giving silent voice to the pain we felt when others went to see the Last Temptation of Christ. We watched some go in anyway. We watched others move on. We prayed. We sang. We were there. It was a peaceful demonstration and we did not get arrested or have police presence.

So no, I do not do protests. I will do peaceful demonstration. I will work for the positive good that is in all of us if we just let it out.
