The Other
I compare others to myself.
When gazing into the mind
of the being of the other
I wonder.

Is that being really that different?
From ME?

When he - or she
looks back through the eyes of wonder -
what do they see?

A sentience with hopes and dreams?
A beam of brilliantine?
A dream of knowing?

Or a seam between love and hate
waiting to rip with the tiniest
intolerance.
