I WISH I COULD TAKE IT BACK

I wish I could take it back
All the pick up lines
And wasted times

I wish I could take it back
The missed opportunity
The softly spoken lie

I wish I could take it back
The careless nasty remarks
Slipping off the tongue so sharp

I wish I could take it back
The tackless scathing laugh
Everything that was and was not.

I wish –
I wish –
I wish I could take it all back.

Life does not take long to get even
To right the wrongs of whatever season
Oh, I so wish I could take it all back
