"Peggy, I love you." Dana kissed Peggy.
Their self driving car glided along the streets.
Peggy smiled back. There was a jarring thud.
"What the hell?" Dana adjusted his recliner
so that he could see outside.

The car had struck an elderly man.
"There has been a pedestrian collision."
the car reported.
"Ah-do we call this in or has the car?"
Dana was in a panic.
Peggy smiled back. Dana called it in.

An ambulance arrived in minutes as did
the police, who took a copy of the car's
video recording of the accident.
"It's all taken care of." the officer said.
Dana thanked him with a wave. He had not left
the car.

"Peggy. That old man was lucky.
He had bionics that absorbed the impact ..
He was jogging and didn't stop at the pedestrian
light." Dana kissed Peggy.
The car pulled back into traffic.

Dana put his arm around Peggy as they lay
on their reclining bed.
She was a beautiful sex droid.
"I love you." Peggy said and kissed Dana.
Dana yawned and settled back for the commute.
He darkened the tinted windows.
