Writing some

I got up at about 11am. I made coffee and did my readings. I texted Gio, who has not gotten back to me. Ricky responded though. He was in the movies. I talked to Chad on his lunch break. He talks fast and I did not catch much. I did get it when he talked about going to the movies with his brother William. I think they saw Pirates. I forget what else he said about it. Lol.
I have been writing for two hours or more; I haven’t kept track. I’m at the point where I want to wrap things up. This means tying up all the loose ends. There are a lot! When I’m done, I will edit one chapter a day. If I stick to that, I will get through the story in a month or so.
I’m trying to break up plot into bits and do no info dumping. Now I’m worrying about “talking heads.” Honestly though, how am I supposed to show complex ideas except through speech? How can you “show” what someone’s thinking? Feelings and emotions can be shown. Likewise, in what way can you show the history of a place except by reflection and narration?
Forgive me if I stop early. I’m tired. Chad may call.
What to say, what to say. Jim went to Costco. We needed food. I paid for some pasta shells and some croissants. I hope my mom does not gobble them all up. Two days ago, my mom bought some mint cookie protein bars. They were very good.
Tomorrow is church. We’re all celebrating the graduating seniors by going to Yogurt Land. I thought about not going but I need to socialize. I am looking forward to having Gio come to church with me on Sunday. It is not official but I think he’ll go. I prefer the 9am service but more of my friends are at the 11am service. Either way I will be happy to see him.
