Introduction: God gives hope to those considered foolish and powerless
In the beginning...journey to God's embrace.

I God offers the gift of a place where we can learn of faith
A. Joseph, Abraham, Moses, Elijah- why God puts us in such a place.
B. Those in position of never leaving death. Without mom and dad or hospital coughing out to seminary to share with those who do not belong

II God offers the gift of presence
A. God is with Elijah until he is ready to hear message.
B message to Satanist. Jesus on the cross.

III God offers the gift of purpose.
A. God says that there is purpose of resurrection. More work.
B. Hospital intensive care.

Conclusion: the gift of purpose, place and presence is the place we meet God who was called foolish and powerless. God shows who is worth a breath and whirlwind.
