I've Got to Get My Generator Fixed

A silent POP, the lights went out again.
A truck collided with a power pole,
one must respect our forest roads, Amen!

So in the dark, computer down, I pen
another poem to try and share my soul.
A silent POP, the lights went out, again.

T'was only fourteen days ago when,
the lines went down from winds out of control.
One must respect our forest roads, Amen!

I sit in silence, try to find my Zen
I want to write to share and meet my goal
A silent POP, the lights went out again.

A flash and hope came soaring with a grin.
This country life will sometimes take its toll,
One must respect our forest roads, Amen.

I've learned to improvise with grace, times ten.
I strive to give and live a life that's whole.
