Yellow Green in the Sunset
Glowing leaves in late day sun
Dance in breeze and bid me share
Moments like the present one
With joyful heart that's free from care.

The hooker's green of noonday light
Transforms to ocher's yellow gold.
The longer waves are still as bright
If noontime blind be fully told.

Backlit crowns of wordless chimes,
Bound to limbs upon the trees.
Majesty worth hills to climb
As smiles of heart the sight it frees.

Banana brights to honey soft
Are hues so rich, though fleeting, full.
With lime encrusted elms aloft
their shamrock leaves grow dim and dull.

The highest jewel on the peak,
Flitters, flutters, falls pastel.
My aching heart the more would seek.
Know peace for morrow's tale will tell.
