We cry
with indignation against
bombs, chemicals,
germ war fare!

What about
greed, intolerance,
drug abuse,
poverty, racism?

Weapons of mass destruction
make me
no more dead
than a drive-by bullet,
industrial pollution,
or a drunk behind the wheel.
