We climb the hill of lasting thrill.
Our days of glee, now let them be.
Idea mill is what we will.

We strain and train for days we see
Flee darkness for our greatest goal.
Three thoughts embrace this end to free.

Perspective is my sainted friend, who guides me to be whole
The days of loss we quickly mend by letting joy shine through.
Such grist as life may try to rend, result is only coal.

In days of youth, the cradled bough did break when weight was full enough
How the worthiest soul wears a smile on his face, though each line of his days greatest character traces!
The joys of later years are won through tasks that often may seem rough.

How lived we days of life so full to place ourselves in Master's graces!
The devil buffets days so cruel to weary hearts with "Over-the-Hill!"
But lasting Bliss sees Hope today defeating all Disaster's Places.
