Personification: "I Am a Chocolate Cake!"

Many are my lovers' woes
when I'm not around.
Choc'late from my head to toes.
Legend in my town.

I make Cher just Melba toast.
Raquel's a cardboard box.
I'm laid on plate with drizzled boast
of Chocolate. I'm a fox!

My autograph's a sleepy soul,
so full of me as I am.
I've choc'late layers through the whole,
all topped with swirly icing.

I started life as a dusty mix.
Just add two eggs and milk.
And now the world needs a daily fix
of a slice of me and choc'late silk.

I rarely spend the night on a shelf
when parties serve me last.
Just here today as though baked by an elf,
Sweet mem'ries of the past.

But don't be blue I'm back again
when palates fancy me.
So decadent, I'm called a sin,
but I don't rightly see.

How could I own a place in Hell?
How could I tempt you there?
For choc'late melts when temps do swell
as the light of the sun doth stare.

Methinks you better look Above
to find my lasting Realm
for He Who made this chocolate Love
doth sit at the greatest helm.

I urge you humans living well
to keep your fork 'til last
for when you hear Death's latest knell,
your loves will see your breath has passed,
but if Christ has saved you from all Hell
your next meal's quite a blast.
Forever you will live to tell
of Chocolate Love's Enthusiast.
