Nothing Happened, Almost Nothing Gained
Nothing Happened, Almost Nothing Gained

It’s that time of day again for another Blog entry whether I want to do one or not. Which I don’t really want to do. But I must do it if I don’t want to miss another day of no blogging. Why don’t I feel like doing it? Mostly it’s because I am fighting the lack of sleep. And I’m losing the fight. I only got about two hours of sleep last night. Don’t ask me why because I don’t know. Even week to sleep early. But I couldn’t get to sleep no matter what I tried to do to do it.

Usually, thinking about one of my short stories that I’m going to writing, or is writing, will help me to fall asleep. But it didn’t. If I think about my scriptwriting it will do the same thing. Only it didn’t last night. And I don’t know why. When I finally got to sleep, I had to wake up to start the day. That’s why I only got a couple of hours. If I even got that much. I tried to make up for it a little later. And I did manage to get a couple more hours. But it still wasn’t enough. That’s why I’m still fighting sleep as of this writing.

It hasn’t been a total loss when it comes to my writing, though. I did get a little bit done after I finished posting my last Blog entry. Planned on writing my latest Musicology Anthology Short Story, Rock Bottom. And I did start it. But I didn’t finish it. I got about a fifth way into it when I thought about it. And I decided to write another story instead. Only by that time I was too tired to write. So, I figured I would finish it after I got up this morning. That didn’t work out either.

I was wrong about today not being too busy for me during my second day off from work. In my last Blog entry, I wrote that I didn’t think that there was more than a couple of things I and my brother needed to do today. But I was wrong. It wasn’t a lot more that needed to be done. There were several others, though. By the time we finished them, and me trying to get caught up on my sleep, I didn’t get anything else done today except for this Blog entry.

What does that mean? It means that I didn’t get to finish my WDC Short Story, Shrinkage, for this month as I planned on doing. I was not only going to finish it, but I was hoping that I could Grammarly it, WDC format it, create it, and enter the contest today. Obviously, that isn’t going to happen. Which means that I only got a couple of days off to finish it. Since I only got three sections left, about six hundred words, to write I should get them done next Monday. That will give me Tuesday to edit it and do all the other things that need to be done to enter the contest. I don’t like doing it this close to the end of a contest. But once again I have no choice but to do it.
