Still Have a Lot to Do with My WDC Short Story
Still Have a Lot to Do with My WDC Short Story

It’s that time of the day again when I either must do this blog entry or miss another day not doing it. And I don’t want to miss any more days. Which means I have no choice but to do it now. after all, today is almost at an end. If I don’t do it now, then I will miss another day.

That isn’t the only reason why I’m doing it, though. I’m also doing it because I want to write about what I have done today. Unfortunately, it isn’t much. It has been a typical second day off. My brother and I have been busy most of the day doing things that needed to be done. And I haven’t had too much time to work on my WDC Short Story for this month.

When we finally found a new place to move to, I thought that I would have a lot more time to do my writing. Especially, when it comes to my WDC Short Story for this month. But it hasn’t been like that. I’m still doing a lot besides my writing. A good example of that is today. Most of what I needed to do today was related to my moving the middle of next month.

Don’t get me wrong. I did get some of my WDC Short Story done today. But I still have a lot to do on it. In fact, I only have about half of it done. And it's only half now because I had to make a couple of changes to it. The biggest change is that I have had to break it down into eight sections instead of ten because of the length of the first four.

I also had to start all over again. What I had written just didn’t feel right. It didn’t feel like what I wanted to write about. So, I started over again. It’s still not very good. But I can still possibly save it. The old way I couldn’t have done that. Of course, it doesn’t really matter anyway since I never win these contests. But that isn’t why I write them, though. I write them because of the challenge of it.

What am I going to do after I finish posting this blog entry? I’m going to go back to writing my WDC Short Story for this month. After all, I only have a few hours left of my days off to finish it. True, I could take the chance and work on it after I get home from work. But I’m usually too tired to do that. So, if I don’t get it done tonight before I go to sleep then I won’t have an entry into the contest for this month. And I don’t want that to happen again.
