It Wasn’t Too Much Done at Work or at Home
It Wasn’t Too Much Done at Work or at Home

I’m going to start with what happened to me at work yesterday. And how much writing I got done. Which isn’t too much. In fact, it’s very bad. I only got thirty-five single sentences written yesterday. That equals about four to five an hour. That’s how bad it got yesterday.

Usually, I can blame work for me not getting more of my writing done. But I can’t really do that this time. True, it was very busy at work yesterday. About average for a Wednesday. So, work was sort of the reason why I didn’t get more writing done. But the main reason why is because of me.

Don’t ask me why because I don’t know. But I couldn’t concentrate on my writing. I took the pencils and papers out of my fabric briefcase. And I sent it up to do my writing. But I couldn’t bring myself to do it. Well, that isn’t exactly true. I did get Act Two done from the first episode of my Water Wars scriptwriting project. But it took me my whole shift to do thirty-five single sentences.

I don’t know why I couldn’t concentrate either. It can’t be sleep because I got plenty of it overnight. And I don’t think it’s because of the cold that I had since I no longer had it. If I ever had one. So, why couldn’t I concentrate? I’m still thinking about that as I write this blog entry for today. And I still don’t the answer to that question. I probably never will know the answer to that.

It wasn’t just at work that I couldn't concentrate either. My lack of concentration also spilled over after I got home from work. I started working on my WDC Short Story for this month. And I did get the second part done. But I didn’t like the way it was going. So, I started it almost over completely. In fact, I did it twice. And I’m still not doing with it.

With only a few days left until the end of the month and this contest, I don’t think that I’m going to make it. That doesn’t mean that I have given up on it. I am going to finish it and put it in my portfolio. Just might not get it in there in time for this contest. I’m hoping that I can get it done by the end of the weekend. But I’m not too hopeful that I’m going to be able to do that.

What am I going to do today at work? I’m going to continue working on my Water Wars Treatments. Don’t know how much of it I will be getting done. a lot of that depends on work and how I’m feeling. But I’m going to do as much as I can. That goes for after I get off work too with my WDC Short Story. The only way I’m going to get that done is if I do two parts for the next couple of days. That will leave Sunday night and early Monday morning to still enter this contest.
