Five and a Half Hours
Five and a Half Hours

It’s because I worked five and a half hours of OT yesterday and this morning. In fact, I just got home from work about an hour ago. As soon as I got home, and I finished talking to my brother about a few things that have come up in the last twenty-four hours, I started working on this blog entry for today.

That’s why this blog entry is a few hours past the usual time that I do it. It’s also because I don’t have too much writing to write about. Well, that isn’t exactly true. I do have a lot to write about that I got written on my Water Wars scriptwriting project.

I only wrote ten scene paragraphs written for my Water Wars movie Treatment yesterday. I would have gotten another five for a total of fifteen, but I trained a new employee for a couple of hours. With two hours left on my shift, I would have gotten another five done. A few more than that if I wanted to write them. But I probably would have stopped with only writing five more.

As it turned out I could have done another ten to fifteen more during my OT. That’s if I felt like doing them. but I didn’t feel like writing anymore since the OT just suddenly strung up on me. They didn’t even ask me if I wanted to do it. True, they asked me if I could. But I didn’t really have too much to say about it. It wasn’t like I could have said no to it. I was stuck there until my relieve showed up. And that was five and a half later.

Probably wouldn’t have gotten ten to fifteen more scene paragraphs written anyway. If I was very lucky, I would have gotten another five. It was that busy at work during my OT. Especially between 0100 to 0300 my time. During those two hours, it was almost non-stop busy there. I didn’t have too much time to do anything but work.

The only good part about this OT is that it is Over Time. which means one and a half times the pay. It doesn’t make up for them not giving me the chance to say no to doing it if I didn’t want to do it or that it was being very busy during those times. But it does help a lot. Especially, since that increase in pay is going to help me and brother in a couple of weeks.

Today is Saturday. So, normally fifteen to twenty written scene paragraphs wouldn’t be a wishful thought. But today it might be. After all, I’m only going to be getting five to six hours of sleep because of the OT. That still should be plenty of sleep. But that isn’t the only reason why I might end up only doing about ten today. It also depends on how I feel and how busy it is at work. It’s usually very slow on Saturdays. But today with my luck it probably won’t be.
