A Prayer for Peace
O, Lord, we ask, that You would give
our world the peace it needs.
We're sinful souls. Please, us forgive.
Make Gratitude our deeds.

We start by praying for your heart,
the ones whom You did choose.
Make peace in Israel ever start.
Jerusalem ne'er You lose.

Dear Lord, we pray for presidents
and the leaders of each land,
that You would be in residence
to guide as You have planned.

Please give salvation. Help us call
on You, the One, Who saves.
You died on the cross to win us all,
and rose up from the grave.

Protect our first responders, Lord.
Their job is often hard.
Please, fill their hearts with Your Own Word.
Each day their dear lives guard.

In Hope, we ask, that You would show
our children how to live,
that when they're grown, they all would know,
in You is where we thrive.

So many things need daily prayer.
Please, help us to recall,
that You can carry every care.
We'd bring you one and all.

Oh, Prince of Peace, please speak, "Shalom"
o'er every earthly thought,
that when you come to bring us Home
Your joyful peace be wrought.

"Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.
Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces.
For my brethren and companions' sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee.
Because of the house of the Lord our God I will seek thy good."
(Psalm 122:6-9, KJV)
