Only Twelve Paragraphs Written Yesterday
Only Twelve Paragraphs Written Yesterday

Unfortunately, that blog title is correct. I did only write twelve paragraphs for the first episode of my Water Wars Treatment. But they were twelve very hard paragraphs to write, though. four of them were four lines each and eight were five lines for each one.

The number of lines wasn’t the only reason why I just got twelve paragraphs written yesterday for this scriptwriting project. What is the usual reason why I don’t get too much writing done at work? That’s right. It’s work. And yesterday there was a double dose of it.

No, it’s not that I returned to my Wednesday post that I have been going to for the last few months. I did go back to my regular post that is all five workdays again. It’s worse than that. The sun also wasn’t one of the reasons either because it wasn’t sunny yesterday at all.

When I got to work yesterday there were some new rules that I needed to read. Well, that wasn’t exactly true. It wasn’t new rules. In fact, it wasn’t rules at all. What I had to read was safety things and what to do when something bad happens. All of which I already knew.

Unfortunately, that took me almost two hours to read them. I’m sure I could have brushed it off and said that I read them. But with my luck, if I had done that there would be a test on it. I probably would have passed the test anyway since I already knew it. Why take that chance though.

Besides, I don’t want to give them any excuse to fire me. I don’t think that would have happened. But they are fully staffed now. So, it could. The only reason why I haven’t been fired so far is that they needed me. Now that they are fully staffed, they don’t need me as much.

Yes, reading is one of the reasons why I didn’t get more writing done yesterday. The other one is the usual reason. It was how busy it got at work yesterday. That’s because it got very, very busy. I expected it to be busy. But not this busy. It was almost as bad as the other Wednesday post.

That’s how busy it was at work yesterday. I wasn’t on my feet constantly. But I was up and down a lot. As a result, you can add about another hour to me not getting any writing written. So, that’s why I only had about five hours to do any writing. No wonder I didn’t get more written than twelve.

I’m kind of surprised that I even got that many written. Not that I had any trouble with them, but because of everything going on around me. I did have so problems with a few of them. But nothing too serious. It was work that was my reason for not writing more yesterday.

Today I’m going to continue working on the first episode of my Water Wars scriptwriting project. I don’t know if I will be able to get into the second episode or not. But I think that I will. After all, I only have six more big paragraphs left to do for Act Four. Then it’s my Tag Act.
