Freehand has been Harder Than I thought that It Would Be
Freehand has been Harder Than I thought that It Would Be

I’m hoping that it’s just going to be the movie Outline that is going to be hard for me to write. I didn’t expect it to be this hard. In fact, I thought that it would have been a lot easier. Especially, when it came to my Outlines. I thought that writing it freehand was going to be a whole lot easier. But it hasn’t been.

What do I mean by freehand? Maybe that isn’t the right word to use. But to me, it means writing on my laptop without really thinking about it. True, I have single sentences to help me with my paragraphs. And most of the time that is okay. But sometimes it isn’t. Once I get writing, anything is possible. A good example of that is these blog entries. My fingers often go out of control with them.

It’s the same with my Outlines and Treatments. Most of the time they stay between the single sentences in my Outlines and Treatments. But sometimes they don’t. I think that is why I’m having so much trouble writing this Outline. That’s because I know what I want to write. But after looking at my Treatment single sentences, sometimes that changes.

Change isn’t bad, though. It just means I probably will have to adjust my Treatment single sentences too. And that’s a lot easier to do if I’m writing freehand on my laptop. It’s not that hard to do it the hard way with handwriting it on paper first. But it’s a lot faster if you do it directly into the laptop. That’s why I mean by freehand.

Don’t get me wrong. It’s not like I didn’t get any writing done on my second scriptwriting project, The Problems with Death. I just didn’t get as many paragraphs written as I thought I would have gotten done. True, I only got a few more paragraphs written today. but that’s better than nothing, right?

A lot of me not getting any more writing done today than I did get done is because it has been harder for me to do than I thought that it would be. But that’s not the only reason, though. It has been a very busy day today. My brother and I didn’t have a lot to do today. but we did have a lot. In fact, it was so bad that I didn’t even get the chance to start writing until toward the end of the afternoon just before the evening began.

What am I going to do after I post this blog entry? I’m going to try to write a few more paragraphs before I go to sleep tonight. I don’t know if I’m going to do that or not. But I am going to try. After all, tomorrow I return to work. Which means that I’m going to be continuing to work on my Water Wars scriptwriting project. More about that in my next blog coming up in a few hours.
