A Paragraph Better Than I Thought

I was hoping that I would write at least twelve paragraphs on my Water Wars movie Treatment yesterday at work. And I did write that many. But I did one paragraph better than that for a total of thirteen. I wanted to do more. Only I barely had time to do that many.

Most of those thirteen were done in the second half of my shift. But it wasn’t that big of a difference, though. It was five in the first four hours and eight in the last four. Why did I only get five of them done during that time? After all, that’s slightly better than one per hour. And that’s not too good.

What is the usual answer to the question above? That’s right. It’s work. And yesterday it was work. But it also wasn’t work either. What does that mean? That is a very good question. It means that it was work-related. I’m writing about the sun. That’s why I only got five written in the first four hours of my shift.

It was a typical day at work yesterday for a Saturday. It wasn’t very busy at all. In fact, it may have been slightly less busy than it usually is. That’s how busy it was. So, why didn’t I get more written overall? That is one question that I can’t answer. Because I don’t know why.

I’m hoping to do a lot more than that today. And I may be able to do that too. After all, I only have seven more paragraphs for Act Four to write. Then I go into Tag Act One. And there are going to be at least two or three Establishing Shots at the beginning of that Act.

So, I should be able to get at least twelve more paragraphs written today. And it may be a little bit more than that. Fifteen to twenty, I hope. Twenty I doubt that I will be able to do. But fifteen is a very good possibility. I’m hoping that it will be between fifteen and twenty. And it may be. But I’m not going to count on that until it happens.

A lot of how much writing I get done depends on how busy it gets at work today. Usually, it’s only slightly busier than it is on Saturday. And I’m that that’s true today too. after all, it wasn’t very busy yesterday. So, if it’s only a little bit more today, it will be more like a typical Saturday.
