April 2. Golden State
Golden State

An hour and a half drive
north of the Golden Gate
you can find my sanctuary
at the top of the mountain
teetering at the edge of the Pacific
among the giant redwoods.

Here, I've planted my feet
deep into the rich earth
and offered my heart
to the universe.
