An Ode to Reddit
Our optional prompt for the day also honors the idea of Saturday (the Saturdays of the soul, perhaps?), by challenging you to write an ode to life’s small pleasures. Perhaps it’s the first sip of your morning coffee. Or finding some money in the pockets of an old jacket. Discovering a bird’s nest in a lilac bush or just looking up at the sky and watching the clouds go by.

Why would you think Reddit is dull?
the information is the most damning accusation of all.
A thread is never monotonous, a flame can be wearisome,
downvoting is mute, however.

A troll, however hard it tries,
will always be pulled under;
with positivity, laughs,
and "you go girl, you should be proud!"

One afternoon I said to myself,
"Why didn't I discover Reddit before?"
The Juggalos are funny.
The gluten-free group welcoming.

I earned my first award for my tattoo,
it might have been "yikes"
but everyone loved my ink;
and my piercings too-

Reddit is addictive,
quite the opposite of dull,
and I hope the flame never goes out,
when life returns to normal.
