About One Hundred and Twenty-Five
About One Hundred and Twenty-Five

Why did I title this blog entry like I did? It was because I wrote more than one hundred and ten single sentences for my Water Wars scriptwriting project yesterday at work. But I’m not sure about the fifteen extra ones. I’m sure that it is fifteen. But it may be sixteen because I hadn’t written the Tag Act for my third episode yet.

What am I trying to write about? On my way home last night from work I had a feeling that something was wrong with the Voonc and Grii storyline for this episode. And it was after I did the last blog entry that I remembered what it was. So, yesterday at work I spent the first hour or so of my shift re-writing those fifteen or sixteen single sentence scenes.

In fact, it was while I was thinking about what was wrong with this storyline just before I went to sleep last night that I remembered it. I usually think about my writing before I go to sleep. It helps me to do it. Usually, it works. But sometimes it doesn’t. I’m not always thinking about what I’m working on right then. Sometimes it’s what I’m going to be working on like my second scriptwriting project, The Problems with Death. But a lot of the time it’s sometimes I will be working on soon. At least I hope that it will be soon.

After I finished re-writing that storyline, I started to work on the Tag Act of my third episode single sentences for this project. Once I got that done, I started working on episode four. At first, I didn’t think I would be getting the Teaser Act plus Act One and Act Two written. But I did do it. Why did I feel that way? It’s because it took me about two hours to do the Teaser Act. Luckily, I still had almost four hours of my shift to finish the first half of this episode.

Why did it take me so long to write twenty single sentences? It was because like most movies and television shows I have trouble starting them. I end up doing a lot of re-writing before I’m finished with them. Sure, I know what I want to write for each scene. I’m just not sure how to word it. As a result, I have to do some re-writing. Sometimes it’s just a little bit of it. And sometimes it’s a whole lot.

Today, I am going to get the second half of episode four finished. Then I will be finished with my single sentences. And I can start working on my single paragraphs. I’m just not sure if I will be able to do any of them today. It shouldn’t take me longer than three or four hours to finish my sentences. So, I should have about four to five hours to work on my paragraphs.

Then again, maybe I won’t be able to do that many. If I do any of them at all. It’s Sunday. And that usually means it won’t be too busy at work. But this is a holiday weekend. So, it may be busier than it normally is. Especially, since Friday was so slow. It was more like a Saturday or a Sunday. I won’t know how many, if any, paragraphs that I will get written until I do them.
