Ten to Fifteen
Ten to
Fifteen

It doesn’t really matter what scriptwriting project that I’m working on. It’s going to be about ten to fifteen single paragraphs per day for my Outlines and Treatments. At least that’s what it looks like to me. Unfortunately, it’s been around ten this last week. That’s when I was allowed to do any writing. I only got to work four days last week on my Water Wars scriptwriting project. And I only got about ten single paragraphs written each day.

Of course, if I have any Teaser Acts or Tag Acts, then I may get a few more paragraphs written. After all, those are only three lines long. That’s what they are for my Outlines. It’s the Establishing Shots that are only three lines long for my Treatments. The only other difference between my Outlines and Treatments are the six lines paragraphs. They are only in my Treatments.

Well, that isn’t exactly true. The six lines paragraphs aren’t the only difference. The number of scenes for my Treatments can be different too. It all depends on what kind of movie or television series that they are. If they are Action/Adventure, then they have double the scenes than if they are a Drama.

Why is that? It’s because there is a lot more dialogue in Drama than there is in Action/Adventure. And quite a bit more Action or Adventure than Drama in my Action/Adventures. That’s why they are doubled. My Outlines aren’t exactly the same either. It’s the number of paragraphs in my Outlines that will be a little different.

For example, there are nine paragraphs for each Act in my Water Wars scriptwriting project. And five paragraphs for each Act in my second scriptwriting project, The Problems with Death. Why is that? It’s because of how many storylines that are going on with each one. It also has something to do with what kind of an Outline that it is. Whether it’s for an Action/Adventure, a Drama, or something in between them.
