Shakespearean Sonnet: "Delivered"
The baby comes in hope, though overdue.
A parable of these new days we live.
For when the pain is past and fully through,
rejoicing for new life is what we give.

These pangs of birth, they charge us, "Find the Light!"
We search through Darkness, squeezed, and finally held.
Forget we smallness in the day so bright.
The days of past, they fade as new be telled.

What Hope from God! New life for living, yet!
In darkness stalks a menace at our heels,
while 'tween the knees comes hope without regret,
and menace finds its purpose quite repealed.

This life is birthed for us by God each day.
His Hands, they carry all, who Him obey.
