It Could Have Been
a Little Bit More

What does the above blog entry title mean? It means that I could have gotten a few more single paragraphs written for my Water Wars scriptwriting project. Why am I writing that? That’s because I got an hour and forty minutes of overtime yesterday at work. I don’t know if I could have gotten four more paragraphs written. but I probably could. Maybe even one to three more written. after all, at least three of those four were for Establishing Shots.

Only I didn’t do any more single paragraphs for my movie Scene Outline. I didn’t do them for a couple of reasons. One of those reasons is that I didn’t know when I would get relieved at work. It could have been a few minutes. But it wasn’t. The second reason is that I finished the first half of my movie for this project aka episode one of it. And I didn’t want to only get one or two of them written before I got relieved at work. Especially, if those were the first two Establishing Shots.

So, how many single paragraphs did I get written yesterday at work? The answer to that question is eleven. It probably would have only gotten nine or ten of them written if I didn’t have the overtime coming up. Why is that? it’s because I usually start putting my things away for the end of my shift about ten minutes early. But I didn’t do that this time because of the overtime. As a result, I got eleven of them written instead of nine or ten.

Work wasn’t a factor in how many single paragraphs that I got written yesterday. At least it wasn’t during my regular shift. It was a little bit busy during those eight hours. But it wasn’t as bad as it has been the last few Thursdays. My overtime was almost the opposite of that. I may have only worked an hour and forty minutes of overtime. But I was going out of my guard post almost constantly during that time. I was on my feet a whole lot more than I should have been at that time.

Because of the overtime, I didn’t get home until almost 0100 WDC time. That’s why this blog entry is a little later than usual today. I just hope that today will be as good as it was yesterday when it comes to my writing. Unfortunately, a lot of that depends on how busy it gets at work. If it’s like the last few Fridays, I may be lucky to get eight to twelve single paragraphs written. And that will include about three or four Establishing Shots.

Then again, if it’s like yesterday, I may be able to get those ten to fifteen single paragraphs written for this project. I’m not going to count on that until it happens, though. of course, I hope that I can get that many written. No matter how bad it gets at work. But if it’s anything like the last few weeks during the week, I will be lucky to get six to eight of them done. Maybe a few more because of the Establishing Shots. Whether I get ten or fifteen, I’m going to get as many of them as I can written.
